The highly-corrosive properties of the effluent stream from RO and Vapor Compression desalinators is not a problem for the SunDragon Salt Maker systems.

    Areas Without Salt Ponding Restrictions
    Our solar evaporators are green and can be used in the Southwestern United States. There are several billion acre feet of salt water in salt water aquifers, yet most of the land above is desert. In the Southwestern United States there are several million families on well water and many of the walls go bad due to industrial and agricultural pollution. Solar seawater and brackish well water desalination are economically viable. Active Solar Powered desalination units require operators for maximum output and produce 1000 gallons of distilled water per day per single unit. An arrangement of several units can be operated by a single trained operator producing several thousand gallons of water per day.
     
     
    The Solar Still
    At SunDragon we have improved the solar still to make drinking water in volume. The solar still has been around for 130+ years. The solar still is a low volume water maker that makes distilled water.
    The Solar Solution Water Maker has hot feed and recirculating feed water to increases the volume of water produced. The condensate trough of our Solar Solution Water Maker has calcite in the trough to adjust the pH of the distilled water and convert the distilled water into drinking water.
